Suggestions?

To all my friends and former classmates:

I would like to start a discussion now about what to do in 2012 for our 35th reunion. We almost didn't have a 30th reunion and I don't want to be in a rush for the next one. So, if possible, I'd like to throw out some ideas for the next reunion, and hopefully, someone will have some ideas as well.

I heard a story at work about a class that had their reunion during a cruise. It was just one of the 3 or 4 day cruises down to Ensenada. Personally, I like the idea. It gives everybody a few days to really get re-acquainted with old friends. One top of that, cruises are a lot of fun. This idea was brought up for the 30th reunion, but didn't come about due to the short notice of the reunion and a concern for the expense. Times are a little tough for some of our classmates and they may not be able to afford it. But with a year or two head start, I think just about everybody could handle it.

If not a cruise, then how about another destination? Vegas, Tahoe, Laughlin? Disneyland? (might be cheaper to go on a cruise than a couple of days at the mouse house!)

Or do we want to just do the local restaurant/ banquet hall again?

Like the multi-class reunion picnic, would we want to have a multi-class reunion cruise or something like that?

If somebody has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

reunion cruise

the class of 1965 did a reunion cruise a few years back and it was alot of fun. One of the classmates works at AAA as a travel agent and she handled all of the paperwork. It was super easy to book the trip. Perhaps there is a classmate who is a travel agent and would be willing to handle the trip for anyone who is interested. If you open it up to any and all LHS classmates you might get more people!

reunion

Thanks, I thought somebody from LHS might have. It's a little early to talk seriously about the reunion, but I was hoping to start the discussion now so that we might have a big crowd for it. I didn't think about a classmate that might be a travel agent. That's a good idea, thanks. I think we could open it to the other alumni, but I'm looking for feedback from my classmates first. I'm just one voice, not the reunion committee.
